Finally patients can achieve the results of true laser resurfacing without the discomfort, recovery time, and risk of older traditional CO2 or Erbium lasers.
What are fraxel laser treatments?
Fraxel laser treatment (FLT) is the original “fractional” treatment that produces thousands of deep, tiny columns of trauma in your skin, called microthermal treatment zones. It intensively treats thin columns of the skin without affecting the surrounding tissue reducing healing time while promoting the skin’s natural process for creating new, healthier tissue.
Now upgraded to a faster, stronger and more versatile technology, Fraxel has added a new wavelength called the Thulium to the Fraxel restore. It has the unique advantage of two treatment modes. The 1927 wavelength is a state-of-the-art Thulium laser which allows us to remove pigmentation, age spots, sun spots, and Actinic Keratosis in the top layer of the skin.
The Ebrium components of the Fraxel Dual Laser utilizes the 1550 wavelength to improve skin texture, fine lines, wrinkle, acne and surgical scars. The Ebrium technology focuses the energy in the deeper areas of the skin stimulating new collagen production.
The Beauty of Fraxel Dual is that it can be tailor-made for each individual treatment, matching your unique needs with minimal impact on your daily routine. It is an excellent treatment for face, neck, chest, arms, legs, and back.
Who can be treated with fraxel laser?
Fraxel lasers treat men and women of all ages and skin color.
When do the results appear and how long do they last?
The results are both immediate and progressive, Soon after the treatment, the surface of your skin will feel softer and smoother, look brighter and show a more even tone. The next 3 to 6 months will bring more improvement as the deeper layers of the skin continue to create more collagen. Results are long lasting depending on your lifestyle, age, and skin condition. We recommend sunscreen for protection and provide all of our patients with a Post-procedure take home kit to use as your skin care- regimen during the healing process.
How many treatments will I need?
Desired outcomes are typically reached in multiple treatments. The specific number of treatment is tailored to your goals as well as your lifestyle. We will work with you to identify the appropriate level of treatment and your preferred downtime. Consultations are free.
What should I expect after treatment?
Depending on the level of treatment, you may experience redness or swelling after the procedure. This diminishes usually over one or two days. Your skin will naturally bronze over the next week or two. As you continue with the treatment sessions, the sunburned-to-bronzed appearance will repeat after each treatment. As with a sunburn, your skin will flake and exfoliate normally, revealing fresher, glowing, and smoother looking and feeling skin.
