Herb sat down with 3 veterans to smoke, talk medical marijuana and how they cope with PTSD by smoking cannabis.
Seamus O’Reilly served in the military for 18 years, John Tascioni served in the military for 18 years and Bruce Frampton served in it 25 years. These three men have been diagnosed with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), but the tree of them all experience different symptoms.
Shamus explains “You could only have one of them maybe 8 to 10 or 12 symptoms but that one symptom is controlling you”.
The interviewer asks why the men think they lost a lot of their friends due to their diagnosis, and the believe that its due to stigma, mental health is never a good thing to be around and people with a lack of education on the subject.
The three men are given cannabis oil in a vape on screen, and start to talk about their experiences on how they ended up with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. 10 minutes later they start to smoke, and one of them out of the three starts to feel the effects of THC. 20 minutes later, they discuss the topic about how and why cannabis is taboo.
Shamus expresses “people think about the high that you get from cannabis is really been distorted over the years especially by the people and the worst ones in my opinion are the people who have never smoked cannabis, I was at the point where I was gonna put an end to all of this I was getting mad at people when I’d speak to people that I could trust then when I started to use cannabis as you would any other medication not use it like oh I feel stressed I’m gonna go smoke a joint it’s part of my day I’m continuously medicated”.
John passionately states “a life without cannabis without weed without
marijuana I would be an alcoholic I mean and I would be dead eventually because I would be no stopping to me”.
Bruce states “I’ve lived a time of not sleeping and to go back to that is ridiculous having discovered cannabis can do such an amazing job at that it’s like a game-changer”.
